The Stowaway Cottage is a quiet, comfortable getaway rental cottage located in scenic Benzie County that is only a few short minutes from Crystal Lake, Lake Michigan, The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, sugar-sand beaches, The Betsie River, the Betsie Valley Trail, and the port city of Frankfort, Michigan.

Accommodating, Quiet Cottage
Stowaway Cottage accommodates 6 persons and is wheelchair accessible.

Bedrooms
A master bedroom with a double bed is on the main floor.  A bedroom upstairs offers 2 single beds plus a bureau and desk. The loft accommodates 2 single beds as well as a futon sofa, large coffee table, and TV with DVD player.
Bathroom
The main floor is conveniently equipped with a washer and dryer.  A deep bathtub with shower includes Jacuzzi.

Living/Dining Room
This area is an open, window-rich space, cozy with a wood heater and an enlarged dining table.

Other Features
The all-maple floors and abundant use of wood throughout this uniquely custom-built, super-insulated home make it both easy to cool or heat as weather requires. A sundeck at the front and south afford warmth and sunlight. Along the back and north a roofed carport and screened porch offer cooler outside space with barbeque.

Located quietly at the end of Glory Road, the Stowaway Cottage is a short drive to Crystal Lake's Public boat launch at the bottom of Lobb Road and the public beach at the bottom of Bellows Avenue on South Shore Drive. The beautiful Lake Michigan beaches, the City of Frankfort, and everything the town offers are a brief five minute drive.

Water quality and cell phone reception are both excellent~

This is a family owned and operated cottage. We maintain a smoke-free environment.  Sorry, no pets.
